This beautiful pirate treasure the '1492 The Kraken' is inspired by the first known cobs that Christopher Columbus brought with him across the Atlantic in 1492.

This piece was minted in 2025 by Peculiar Coins using 27 grams of fine silver. The obverse features the Kraken with the Latin inscription 'at the mercy of the Kraken'. The reverse side of the round features the iconic Spanish shield with the Latin phrase Ferdinand and Isabella who were the kind and queen of Spain at the time.
